Last night I tried to photograph Orion and the Pleiades with the SV501p. Since I don't have a mount with tracking I just exposed the images for one second at ISO 6400. The camera was my Canon 650d.
Not comparable to the pictures of the pros here, but by my standards it worked out pretty well and easy.
